We needed more 500 ml bottels so we went to the mall. - aardskip . com - Ons uitstappie na die plastiekbak het ons lekker gespeel.

Ek het vir die vrywilligers gesê ons gaan 'n bietjie na die inkopiesentrum, waar ons lekker gaan speel in die ballebak.

We went to mall and played in the ball pit.

Truth: We went to Orania's fantastic recycled centre, where you can get for free or purchase at a very reasonable price building materials. You can get there tyres, plastic and glass bottles, polystyrene, cardboard, wood and plastic piping. The centre is really well organized.

Eerste kamer se binnemuur word gebou met 500 ml plastiek bottels. - aardskip . com - The second planter is working, we have water in the well.

This week we finished some plaster (lime) work outside. The bags are now protected form the sun and the mud plaster is now protected from the rain.

We also worked on the eastern grey water cell (planter). Both planters are now working, it let the water through the 20 metre gravel. The well are filled with water and ground absorbs the water right to the top level. The top ground level is 400 mm above the water level. This is fantastic!

The first two rooms' walls are allready plastered. The first internal wall is coming on steadily. This wall is build with plastic recycled bottles and cob.

Die week het Hennie die buite moder pleister herstel met kalk pleister. Ons is nou beslis beskerm teen die elemente (son, water en vuur).

Die gryswater plantebak werk soos dit moet. Dit laat die water deur tot in die put 20 meter verder en gee ook genoeg water vir die toekomstige plante. Die water word deur die grond op gesuig, 400 mm bo die water vlak. So ons beplan om 'n paar plante te plant. (Johan, Hennie en Ludwig) - sien foto.

Twee kamers se mure is reeds gepleister. Ons eerste binne muur word gebou van 500 ml plastik bottels en "cob". Die hoogte is nou 1000 mm. (Neil, Patricia en Omar Fourie) - sien foto.

Our first overseas volunteers are here to learn you to build an earthship. - aardskip - Ons Oostenrykse vrywilligers is hier om te leer.

Die vrywilliger is twee Oostenrykse studente wat hier is om aardskip seemyle op te doen.

Hulle wil baie graag hulle eie aardskip projek in Namibië begin.

Hier is hulle besig om te help met die gryswater plantebak.

These two volunteers are Austrian students, Neil an IT student and Patricia an architectural student.

There project is called the Mother Earthship Project that stands on three pillars:
1. Body - Earthships for underprivileged in Namibia
2. Mind - Up cycle computers from Austria for Namibia
3. Soul - Opening a market for recycled art.

On the photo they are busy finnishing of the planter wall.

Ons waterdig voering het gekom vir die gryswatersel. - aardskip.com - Our grey water lining arrived.

The dam-lining that we going to use for the grey water cel arrived from "Kimberley Seile". Thanks to Henk transporting it twice. Currently we are busy installing it, thanks to Johan helping us, see photo.

Thanks to Vernon from "Tech Glass & Aluminium" for fixing the double glazing, the rubbers partially fell out in the transportation. Vernon will becoming in January to finish the job.

Ons het al 'n lang lys van mense, sien hier bo, wat ons vrywilliglik gehelp met ons projek. Die projek is nou so jaar aan die gang.

Die week het ons die eerste laag van die vloer voltooi en die ogiesdraad van die binnemure by die vloer styf gespan. Ons is dus gereed om die mure te begin pleister.

Vernon het die dubbel glas se rubbers vervang, hy het al die pad van Bloemfontein gekom.

Laastens het Henk vir ons die waterdig voering van die gryswatersel gebring. Johan het uit die bloute op gedaag en my gehelp om die voering te plaas, sien foto.
